Announcement of New Church Planting Incumbent
The Bishop of Birmingham is delighted to announce that, subject to the usual checks, Revd Trev Meardon has been appointed as the first Incumbent Church Planter in the parish of Pype Hayes in the deanery of Aston & Sutton Coldfield. This new role combines the task of leading the existing parish in its mission and ministry combined with starting a new Christian community reaching out to people across the local area.
The congregation of St Mary’s Church are excited to welcome Rev Trev and his family to live and work with them in the parish of Pype Hayes.
We are the Anglican parish church that has been present and worshiping here since the estate was built in 1929.
We are a small but active community, trying to understand and live out what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
We don’t have all the answers, but we are asking the questions together.
